Social Work Faculty Receives Society of Behavioral Medicine Award

Dr. Amy L. Ai, a distinguished research professor at the FSU College of Social Work, was recognized by the Society for Behavioral Medicine (SBM) as the 2024 recipient of the Integrative Health and Spirituality Special Group (IHS SG) Distinguished Scientist Award.


FSU Remembers Eminent Psychologist and National Academy Member Norman B. Anderson

Dr. Norman B. Anderson, clinical psychologist, and well-known leader in the behavioral and social sciences, passed unexpectedly on March 1, 2024, while recovering from knee surgeries. Dr. Anderson was born on October 16, 1955, in Greensboro, NC. His parents were the late Drs. Charles W. and Lois J. Anderson, co-pastors of the United Institutional Baptist Church in Greensboro. He is survived by his wife of more than 37 years, Elizabeth, and his extended family.  


FSU’s Great Give 2024: Investing in Future Social Workers

Florida State University launches the 13th annual FSU’s Great Give on Wednesday, March 6.

During the 24-hour event, the FSU College of Social Work’s project focuses on supporting social work students in completing their field placement internships. The college has set a goal of raising $40,000. 

Since 2011, the annual day of giving has garnered tremendous support from donors worldwide. Last year, FSU’s Great Give raised $1+ million thanks to the generosity of 5,155 donors.
