Bethel Village Women and Children’s Recovery Program is a past of the Panama City Rescue Mission. Women are the fastest growing homeless population in our country.  Many of these women suffer from the tragic consequences of addictions, co-dependent relationships or mental illness. Bethel Village provides an environment that will aid in their recovery from these issues. The women and children stay anywhere from 6-12 months depending on each individual need.  Each woman is selected on her willingness to take a purposeful step in recovering from the issues that contribute to her homelessness. Ages vary with each adult children range from birth to 12 years of age. Our goal is to provide a home for recovery: mothers learn how to become self-sufficient; classes offered in parenting skills; computer workshops, gardening, life skills classes, children’s educational programs; bible studies; problem solving discussion groups; workshops in 12-step recovery process; workshops in a boundaries process dealing with “taking control of your life.”
