Responsibilities: Fosters a safe and welcoming environment for parents and children. Facilitates activities with children including but not limited to movies, arts and crafts, homework, music and games. Discusses with the Program Director any concerns about participants that may need to be reported to the Department of Children and Families, the school or the parents, and in the case of a situation requiring the mandated reporting of child abuse, abandonment or neglect, follows organizational protocol to ensure the necessary reports are made. Reports and documents incidents when necessary in consultation with the Program Director. Participates in staff meetings, in-service training, agency events and workshops. Supervises and trains volunteers as necessary.
Wage / Salary: $10.00 / hour
Work Schedule: Primarily 5:30 – 8:00 PM every Tuesday. Additional days and times based on need and availability. Final work schedule may change to accommodate support group schedule.
Criminal Background Check: Level 2 Criminal background screening results that indicate eligibility to work with children.
