Responsibilities: Nine (9)-month faculty position with summer contract. Primary responsibility to our undergraduate BSW programs (day and adult college). The position includes responsibilities in teaching and expectations of program director responsibilities in the BSW program beginning August, 2017.
The BSW Program Director will be teaching in the generalist curriculum from introductory level to advanced level courses and is expected to teach three courses per academic year. One of the three courses is teaching/chairing graduate (MSW) clinical research projects upon completion of the doctorate. Other faculty responsibilities include student advising, committee assignments, professional activities of research, presentation and publication, and program, school, university and community service.
The BSW Program Director will collaborate in school activities including academic advising, student recruitment, maintaining compliance with CSWE accreditation standards, development and implement of school and university policies and procedures, and other program and school tasks. The BSW Program Director provides leadership to the BSW Program faculty and is a member of the Dean's Council.
The joint School of Social Work at the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University is accepting applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position for to serve as the BSW Program Director. The School of Social Work offers BSW, MSW and DSW programs. The BSW program has been accredited since 1974 and offers day and weekend options. MSW program has been accredited since 1990 and offers evening and weekend cohort options. The DSW program was launched in summer 2014 with a focus on 'Teaching as Practice'.

Requirements: (and preferences) Minimum of two-years social work practice experience post MSW required, Ph.D. or D.S.W. preferred, ABD or doctoral candidate considered. Professional license eligibility required. Required strengths needed in generalist social work: practice, human behavior and field education. Ability to articulate a diverse/multicultural perspective required. Classroom experience in accredited social work program and administrative experience preferred.
