Job Summary: This position provides support to the Community Development Director in the areas of event marketing and strategy, as well as the oversight, logistical coordination and execution of FSS events and programs. The goal of this position is to increase the awareness of events through a targeted strategy, working with the media and communications specialist and department manager, and Department Directors to achieve goals and an awareness of the FSS brand in the community through event marketing.
A minimum of 3 years relevant event coordination for small and large event experience is required. Bachelor or Associates degree preferred. A minimum of three years’ experience in planning, managing and creating goals and strategies for large and small events with varying budget levels. Must have proven experience in problem solving, vendor management, working under pressure and being creative. Strong client service, people and communication skills are required.
