The Family Nurturing Center is seeking a licensed clinician for contract employment (paid as a set fee for each evaluation) in Jacksonville, FL. This position will provide social (custody) investigations to families referred by the courts.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities:
- Poised and articulate. Must project a professional and competent presence to all parties as well to the legal community. The ability to maintain the credibility and positive reputation of the agency is critical.
- Exceptionally thorough, with strong attention to detail. All documentation must be factually accurate and reflect our earnest effort to accurately portray the strengths and weaknesses of each parent.
- Confident and comfortable in making recommendations that will impact the family structure.
The clinician must be able to build a rapport with both parents as they obtain information through the investigation. The purpose of social investigations is to develop a timesharing (custody) plan based on the best interests of the child(ren). A written statement of facts found in the social investigation on which the recommendations are based shall be made by evaluating all of the factors affecting the welfare and interests of the particular minor child and the circumstances of that family. The clinician will be required to make home visits to the residence of both parents as a part of the investigation.
Applicants must be one of the following: LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC.
