School Based Clinical Counselor-Elementary School

Job Qualifications Required:

·        Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or comparable Human Services Degree

·        Two years of post-Bachelor degree experience working with at risk children and families  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide clinical and supportive counseling services to students in an Elementary Schools
  • Facilitate psycho-educational classes and/or groups such as anger management, behavior management, substance abuse, self esteem etc.
  • Deliver evidenced based treatment interventions (TFCBT, Solution Focused, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain clinical records and program documentation according to contract and CHS standards (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.).
  •  
  • Provide case management services including information, referral and linkages to community services
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans and intervention under the supervision of a licensed supervisor
  • Provide counseling services to families and community outreach.

Clinical Counselor-Comprehensive Adoption Program

Job Qualifications Required:

·        Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or comparable Human Services Degree

·        Two years of post-Bachelor degree experience working with at risk children and families  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide clinical and supportive counseling services to adopted children and their family
  • Deliver adoption competent individual and family therapy
  • Teach PRIDE training to perspective adoptive parents
  • Complete Home Studies for perspective adoptive parents
  • Develop and maintain clinical records and program documentation according to Medicaid standards (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.)
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans and intervention under the supervision of a licensed supervisor
