Desirée Burns is a doctoral candidate in the College of Social Work at Florida State University. She has conducted most of her research in child welfare and is particularly interested in interventions that support parents. She is currently completing her dissertation, which is a qualitative research study that explores parenting practices among people who identify as multiracial. She has taught “Personal Relationships,” “Diverse Populations,” and “Generalist Macro Practice” to graduate students and “Diverse Populations” to undergraduate students.
