Hospice care is a coordinated health care program that provides comfort to patients and supportive care to patients and their loved ones in both home and facility-based settings. Social work interns would participate in an interdisciplinary group comprised of physicians, nurses, chaplains, social workers and hospice aides. Students would assist social workers with psychosocial assessments, grief counseling, individual and family counseling, crisis management, and connection with community resources Covenant Hospice has branches in Pensacola, Milton, Niceville, Crestview, Panama City, Marianna, and Tallahassee, FL. We also have Alabama offices in Daphne, Mobile, Brewton, and Dothan.
Special Placement Information:
BSW, MSW 1st Year and 2nd Year/Advance Standing Clinical, Full-time/part-time Students will need transportation, travel is not reimbursed by the company and no stipends are available. Students will need liability insurance, agency hours are 24/7 depending on staff.
