Alabama Mentor is a home and community-based services provider.  They provide therapeutic foster care and other services for you of all ages with emotional, behavioural, and other complex challenges as well as their families.  Social Workers in this setting conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for each child from a strength-based perspective.  These children and families have complex behavioral health needs as well as other medically complex challenges.  Mentor uses a process of continual assessment, planning and treatment reviews.  Social Workers establish treatment planning and goal setting.  Individual and family intervention services are provided by Social Workers.  Needs are identified and Social Workers ensure that appropriate services are provided.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full-time positions only.  
No stipend available. 
Liability insurance required.  
Agency hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM with some evening meetings with families based on needs.  
Students generally would not use personal cars for transportation.
