The Guardian ad Litem Program represents the best interest of children in the dependency court and child welfare.  The children range in age from newborn to 21 years of age.  The Program covers the surrounding six counties including Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden, Jefferson, Franklin and Liberty.  Our staff of social workers and attorneys partner with volunteers in the community who serve as guardian ad litem advocates.

Special Placement Information

BSW Full time, Interns will complete the guardian ad litem volunteer application, certification and training process.  The volunteer application and pre-service training process is completed on line.  Interns will be supported by a master’s level Child Advocate manager and the Circuit Director.  The interns will learn the role of the Child Advocate Manager and Guardian ad Litem Volunteer recruitment and training program administration, case management and legal representation.
