Fresenius Kidney Care- Panama City is an outpatient dialysis unit providing dialysis to adults of all ages. 
The role of the Social Worker is multifaceted and includes health education, case management and support for emotional functioning. 
Every adult population is represented and many of our patients have multiple medical illnesses. At times, the dialysis unit provides intense medical services. Therefore, all staff are trained in the highest standards of healthcare. Social Workers are expected to perform best practices associated with our profession. 

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 1st-year and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
Agency hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM. Dialysis clinics will see patients starting as early as 5am. There is a Saturday clinic; however, Social Workers do not typically work Saturdays.
Transportation required.
Video-/Audio-taping permitted with consent.
Liability insurance required.
We ask that interns keep up with their hours worked to meet school requirements. We will make every effort to assist with make up hours as able.
