Sandypines provides a treatment program which centers around a professionally developed and multi-disciplinary, individual plan of care based upon the strengths and needs of their families. Sandypines provides an array of services including:
• Individual, family and group therapy
• Psychiatric consultation and monitoring
• Behavior management
• Medication management/assessment
• Recreational Therapy
• Academic services through Martin County School District
• Comprehensive discharge planning and aftercare recommendations
• Coordination of care with outside providers
• Routine medical and dental care
• Nursing supervision
• Physical fitness – indoor and outdoor activities
• Evidenced based tool to measure and assess suicidality
Admissions Criteria –
Each individual shall be assessed objectively and will need to meet the below criteria for admission:
• Male or female age’s 5-17 years old who presents with at least one valid DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnosis. This may include co-occurring issues of mental health and substance abuse.
• The individuals condition must be directly attributable to the designated mental health disorder and not be part of a pervasive pattern of anti-social conduct
• Alternative levels of care have been considered
Special Placement Information:
Agency is accepting MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, (Clinical) Part-time MSW. Student is responsible for transportation to the facility. Students to not need liability insurance. Video/ audio taping is not permitted. Agency is open 24 hours a day, but weekend hours are not available at this time.
• Medical complications are considered minimal or manageable
• The individual possesses the cognitive ability to actively participate in treatment activities
