Wendy P. Crook

Wendy P. Crook was a faculty member with the College of Social Work, and passionate advocate for the homeless.  She served in a leadership role with the Big Bend Homeless Coalition (BBHC), and made such an impact that, after her passing, the BBHC family dorm was named in her honor.  Each year, in Wendy’s memory, the College puts on a community service project in collaboration with the Big Bend Homeless Coalition to help carry out her mission to end homelessness.

Currently, the FSU Association of Student Social Workers coordinates with faculty, staff and community members to maintain a vegetable and flower garden at The Kearney Center that assists people experiencing homelessness in the Tallahassee area. For more information about the Wendy P. Crook Service Project, please contact Nicole Ramos at nramos2@fsu.edu.
