Anchorage Children’s Home provides a variety of services to youth and families within our service area. We have both residential and non-residential programs available including Hidle House, McElvey Family Home, and Anchorage Family Counseling, Transitional Living maternity Transitional Living, SNAP, and Care Management. Hidle House is an emergency shelter, providing services to youth ages 10-17. We are able to house up to 20 youth, provide 24/7 awake supervision and have case management onsite. We serve youth who have been placed in foster care as well as families in need of a cooling off period. Anchorage Family counseling services youth ages 6-17, providing individual and family counseling. Our family counselors also work with Teen Court and Truancy Court within Panama City. Counselors are responsible for providing assessments, case management, and referrals as appropriate.
Special Placement Information
Accepting BSW students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Transportation to participate in community meetings and interact with other agencies required.
Level II background screening.
Video-/audio-taping not permitted.
Agency willing to provide flexible hours and can discuss with students on a case-by-case basis.
