Operating since 2000 within Kings County, California, Champions is a non-profit agency with comprehensive treatment programs under its umbrella.  All services are provided by registered and certified counselors, and/or licensed clinicians.  
Champions offers the following services:
Outpatient Services:
Treatment is focused on assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and case management to help clients overcome barriers caused by substance use disorders. 
Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment:  
Champions runs two ASAM (American Society Addiction Medicine Medicine) designated, licensed residential facilities providing house co-occurring substance use treatment and mental health services through a range of programming options. 
Parenting Programs:
Parenting classes offered at Champions aim to help families with children who are suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorder through recovery.
Domestic Violence Programs:
Champions offers fee for service domestic violence intervention and prevention efforts at the individual community and societal levels.  We offer classes in Batterers intervention, Anger Management and Child Abuse Treatment.
Kings Whole Person Care:  
A system of care that involves collaboration between many providers designed to assist Kings county residents who could benefit from having a case manager for accessing any combination of services related mental health addictions and/or chronic health conditions.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW students. Full-time positions only. Accepting MSW 1st-year and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Outpatient/Administrative office hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday. Agency accessible by public transit. 
Residential facilities office hours: 24 hours, 7 day a week. Weekend hours available.
Security clearances:
Champions staff, contractors, interns, and volunteers working with STOP participants must undergo a thorough Authorization for Security Clearance conducted by CDCR, which shall include a Live Scan background check. These staff shall complete a Live Scan at a location approved by the Department of Justice (DOJ). And the results shall be submitted to CDCR by the DOJ. CDCR will review the Live Scan to ensure Champions’ staff, contractors, interns, volunteers, and any individual who will be in regular contact with the STOP participants meet all CDCR mandates and requirements prior to working in STOP programs.
