Advocacy center where investigative efforts of law enforcement and DCF are coordinated and supported with collaboration from community partners of multiple disciplines.  In our child friendly facility, abused and neglected children receive specialized forensic interviews and medical exams.  The children and their families receive advocacy services and trauma-focused, evidence-based therapy to help heal the trauma and being their journey to recovery.  Mental Health program includes individual, family, and group therapy services.  There are currently 4 licensed Mental Health counselors contracted to provide mental health services in our facility; 3 licensed Mental Health counselors and 1 licensed clinical Social Worker.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available. 
Agency hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday. Evening hours available. Weekend hours available. 
Opportunities for travel to outside agencies may be available to interns. Travel reimbursement available. Auto insurance required.  
Stipend not available.  
Video-/Audio-taping permitted for adult clients only with approval of the Executive Director and client consent.
