The United States Department of Veterans Affairs is the largest employer of Master’s level Social Workers in the United States. Columbia VA Health Care System is one of the oldest MSW trainee program in the State of South Carolina.
VA Social Workers offer a variety of services including: resource navigation, crisis intervention, advocacy, Mental Health , hospital Social Work, behavioral health therapies, substance use dependence, homelessness, and caregiver support  (just to name a few). 
The population served are veterans from all branches of military, and all theaters. 

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
Transportation required. No virtual practicum offered.
Stipend available in the amount of $5,855 payable over the intern's 500 hours.
