Information

Community Helping Place is the largest public outreach center serving the Lumpkin County, Georgia area.  From its early day as a collaboration between local churches, we were originally a simple food pantry over the years, the partnership also began offering emergency financial assistance for utilities, rent payments, in fuel for transportation.  In 2008, a free clinic was added and four years later, a free dental clinic.  Today, the independent agency serves one in six Lumpkin county residents with a food pantry that is open three days a week, several outreach events, a thrift store, community garden, and the Free Clinics. Individual case management service is offered in conjunction with our emergency assistance and food pantry,
