Information

At Community Mental Health for Central Michigan (CMHCM), we have programs that serve consumers from birth and beyond.  CMHCM services consumers with moderate to severe and persistent mental illness.  This includes those with Serve Mental Illnesses, Substance Use concerns, Intellectual Disabilities and more.  Our role in the community is to serve those needing the highest levels of care.  We accomplish this through our many programs.  Those programs include:  Outpatient Therapy, Case Management, Peer Supports, Club House, Psychiatry, Home-based Therapy, Multisystemic Therapy, Crisis Services, Assertive Community Treatment and many more.

The student will need transportation to and from the internship site to begin their day.  Transportation needed while completing internship activities will be provided by the agency via agency vehicle, ride sharing with full time staff or mileage reimbursement.  This is an unpaid internship.  There are no stipends available.  Interns not be provided liability insurance through CMHCM.  Video and audio taping may be permitted with consumer approval.  CMHCM maintains typical business hours of 8am through 5pm Monday through Friday.  However, some programs, such as crisis services, are a 24/7 service.  There are community buses in each county accessible to interns.
