Directions for Youth and Families is a community-based agency providing mental health services for youth. Our clinical program works with youth ages 5+. We also provide services to adults via telehealth. Most staff see or clients in the school setting, giving them the opportunity to collaborate with school staff and other agencies involved in the child's life. Most youth we serve have experienced trauma, therefore we provide thorough training in trauma-focused care. We implement the ARC framework throughout treatment. Licensed staff conduct mental health assessments (including diagnosing), developing treatment plans, facilitating individual sessions on a weekly basis, and termination sessions.
Students are required to have transportation and will be reimbursed for mileage. If students are comfortable transporting clients (not required; most applicable during summer), they are required to have the appropriate care insurance. No audio or video permitted. Direct service must be done during business hours (with exceptions for evening appointment availability for working parents). We are flexible in allowing weekend/evening hours for tasks not being done directly with clients (such as documentation, research/session prep, etc.)
No stipend available.
