ECCAC operates two centers- one in Okaloosa and one in Walton where we provide collaborative services to victims of child abuse and neglect and also their families. Our mental health program provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at decreasing/eliminating active trauma symptoms. We were started in 2000 and continue to expand our services to reach a boarder portion of our community. Our prevention program provides educational interventions in schools as well as in-home services to prevent DCF involvement. Our Advocacy program provides crisis services and resource connections as well.
Special Placement Information:
The Agency is accepting MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, (Clinical) Part-time MSW. Interns placed with us will receive an enriching and wide-reaching opportunity as they can spend time with each program covering different levels of intervention (Therapy, Advocacy, Prevention). We also have DCF, law enforcement, state Attorneys' Office, and Child Protection Team on-site to provide a unique opportunity to interact with those partners in a learning role.
