The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) serves the state's justice-involved youth up to age 21. The Office of Behavioral Health ensures that youth in DJJ secure facilities receive the services they need and manages the behavioral health service program that includes mental health services. Mental health services includes the screening, assessment and treatment of youth placed in DJJ facilities who have a mental illness, emotional disturbance or substance misuse problem. The primary goal is to identify any at-risk youth as early as possible and then to provide care required to ensure that their basic health needs are met. Master's prepared clinicians provide direct care services to these youth. These clinicians come from a variety of clinically focused disciplines, including Social Work.

Accepting MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
Video-taping not permitted. Audio-taping permitted under limited conditions. 
Transportation to facility required. Agency accessibly by public transit. Travel reimbursement not available.
