Georgia HOPE is a community-based provider of mental health and substance use services. Georgia HOPE works directly with individuals, families, DCFS, schools, and communities. Clients are children, adolescents, and adults. Georgia HOPE offers individual, group, and family therapy as well as psych/nursing services and med. management.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/advanced standing (clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
The intern will have their own caseload of clients and be responsible for providing individual and family therapy. The intern will be responsible for completing BIRPP notes for each session as well as further documentation as needed. The intern will attend monthly meetings for both interns and their assigned district within the agency. The intern will have opportunity to shadow other clinicians as well as shadow group sessions. The intern will learn to develop treatment plans/goals as well as other assessments. The intern will attend monthly one-on-ones with their Team Lead as well as weekly supervision with their clinical supervisor. The intern will be responsible for case management of other clients.
The student is allowed to see clients face-to-face.
Travel reimbursement not available. Agency not accessible by public transit.
Stipend not available.
Liability insurance required.
Audio-taping permitted with written consent.
Hours are made by the intern - if the intern/client schedule is available to work weekends, this is allowed by the agency.
