Heart N Soul Hospice's primary function is to provide end-of-life care for patients experiencing a terminal illness who have 6 months or less to live, given the disease's natural cause. The role of the social worker is to adhere to the psychosocial needs of the patient and family. The social worker will provide emotional support and conduct assessments during visits to gather information about patients' needs and the progression of the disease.
Special Placement Information:
The Agency accepts MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing clinical Students and part-time MSWs. Students will need reliable transportation, car insurance. Liability insurance will be covered. Video/audiotaping is not permitted. Work hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm. Students can work the minimum hours needed to meet internship requirements.
