Information

At Impact Living Services, we proudly provide a range of Independent Living Services aimed at supporting youth, ages 17-21, as they transition from foster care into adulthood.  Our Independent Living Program provides essential resources, guidance, and encouragement at every step of this critical life stage. Additionally, we strive to empower young people by equipping them with the skills necessary for stability and long-term success. Through personalized assistance, we ensure that each young adult is fully prepared for the unique challenges and opportunities they will encounter on their journey to independence. By tailoring our support to meet their individual needs, we help them navigate obstacles effectively while also embracing the
opportunities that arise. Consequently, this approach fosters their growth and empowers them to thrive as they transition into self-sufficiency.

Special Placement Information:

The Agency accepts BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year, and Advanced Standing Clinical Students.  Students do not require transportation, but the student will be asked to transport clients as part of their regular duties. The student would be added to Impact Living Services' auto insurance and would utilize agency vehicles as opposed to their own. Any travel (unlikely) would be paid for by Impact Living Services, and no students would have any financial responsibility for their travel or any other duties assigned. Students do not require liability insurance, as they will be covered by Impact's professional liability policy. Video and audio taping may be allowed, but must be approved in advance, as all clients must be made aware of the recording and grant their approval.  Agency hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; however, there are times that the IL program operates outside of those hours. Evening and weekend hours are available, but there are not enough of those hours to fulfill the internship requirements.
