Maryland Family Resource, Inc (MFR) is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient mental health clinic, rehabilitation services provider, and school-based mental health provider that services children, adolescents, adults, and families in Prince George's County, MD, Washington, DC and the surrounding area. MFR also provides evidence-based interventions, professional development training, and consultation services.
MFR accepts Medicaid, self-pay, and some private insurances. MFR provides a broad array of services including Diagnostic Assessment, Psychiatry services, Psychotherapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, Transitional Age Youth transition services, and other specialized interventions (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Systems Therapy, Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Service, Community-Based Intervention, and play therapy services). MFR also provides practicum and internship opportunities for Bachelor's and Master's level students in the mental health field and has formal field placement agreements with many colleges and universities.
Master’s level Students need liability insurance provided by their school or by themselves • Video or audio taping is permitted with consumer consent on a limited basis • Services are provided in-person, in the office and community, and via telehealth • Students will need transportation. The Agency does not reimburse for travel
