Information

The YOU Matter Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital provides comprehensive supports and services to staff and volunteers of Nationwide Children's Hospital.  The field placement activity will allow the student to be engaged in offering services to help staff increase their resilience and emotional wellbeing, while also providing Critical Incident Stress First Aid supports to staff as more acute needs arise to help alleviate staff and volunteer distress.  The YOU Matter Program's has the largest Second Victim Peer Support Program in the United States, and the field placement student will be trained in this peer support model, as well as Critical incident Stress Management and Stress First Aid.  Under the YOU Matter umbrella, we offer Schwartz Center Rounds for Compassionate Healthcare, and have an Employee Assistance program external to the Organization that we assist staff in getting linked to as needed/desired.  The YOU Matter Program is part of the Human Resources Department of the hospital.
