This agency provides services for children, adolescents, and adults in an eight-county radius of Columbus, GA.  The agency provides assistance with areas of mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities.  Social workers are responsible for initial assessments for each client that comes in the door.  They are responsible for developing a treatment plan for each client and setting goals with clients.  Social workers also develop a diagnostic impression when appropriate and provide individual counseling and facilitate groups.

MSW 2nd year and Advance standing only Full and Part time. Should there be any travel (limited if any) for home visits, students would be reimbursed for mileage.  No stipend is available.  Agency is available by bus.  Students will need to purchase liability insurance.  No video taping allowed.  Audio taping possible with patient's consent.  Some evening groups are run intermittently for adolescent - most groups are run until 7 pm.  Most work done M-F 8am to 5pm.  Students must pass a drug screen and fingerprint for a background check prior to starting internship (Approx cost is $90).
