ND State Penitentiary (NDSP) is a maximum security male prison for adults in Bismarck ND.  The Behavioral Health Dept provides a wide array of services to those incarcerated in NDSP.  We have anywhere from 750-800 inmates at any given time.  All inmates enter through NDSP whre all the assessments are completed to determine appropriate programming needs to reduce risk.  At NDSP we provide Substance Use  Treatment Programming, Conflict Resolution Programming, Thinking for Change, Alternatives to Violence in Relationships Programming, and Sex Offender Treatment Programming.  All of these programs are co-facilitated and offered in a group setting.  We also provide individual counseling and crisis intervention services.  The assigned counselors also assist with aftercare/ discharge arrangements for inmates being released from incarceration.

MSW 2nd/Year/Advanced Standing.  Full time positions available.  We are located in East Bismarck and it will be expected that the student be responsible for their own transportation.  We provide services Monday through Friday, 7:30-4:00.  Students are expected to work after hours or week-ends.
