Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is a 501 C 3 tax exempt community mental health center that was founded in 1973. Based in Hattiesburg, PBMHR provides numerous mental health services in four main service areas:  Adult, Child and Adolescent, Chemical Dependency and Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities. PBMHR has offices in 13 Mississippi Counties and provides services from 58 locations. Services are available to residents of Covington, Forrest, Greene, Jeff Davis, Jones, Lamar, Marion, Peral River, Perry, Wayne, Harrison, Hancock and Stone counties. Across the agency, PBMHR employs more than 600 full and part time employees. 

Special Placement Information:

Agency is accepting MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, (Clinical), Part-time MSW.  Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources does not reimburse students for travel and no stipend is available to students. Some travel may be required from job site to job site due the large catchment  area PBMHR serves. Limited evening hours are available to some students and there is currently no availability of weekend hours.
