SalusCare, Inc. Is a Fort Myers, Florida based not-for-profit mental health and substance abuse service provider incorporated in 2013 after the merger of Lee Mental Health Center and Southwest Florida Addiction Service (SWFAS). We offer treatment and hope for persons with mental illness and substance abuse. We offer a range of services focusing on the unique needs of both adults and children. Our staff was comprised of approximately 470 employees. We employ psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and paraprofessional staff whom perform one or more of the following functions: Mental health and substance assessments for first time, non-emergency clients;case management for children and adults; in-home therapeutic services for children and adults; Functional family therapy; Therapeutic Behavioral on-site services; Forensic Diversion Services for those involved in the criminal justice system; Outpatient Psychiatry& Therapy services, emergency assessment services; crisis Stabilization; outpatient substance abuse counseling; residential treatment for substance abuse and a juvenile addiction receiving facility. In addition to the above we also offer comprehensive care by offering the following for adults and Children & Youth: Intake Screenings, Outpatient Psychiatry, Outpatient Therapy, Drug Court, Crisis Stabilization Units, and Case Management.
The intern is responsible for their transportation. Salus Care will only offer unpaid internships and will not offer travel reimbursement. The interns are responsible to maintain liability insurance. At this time, Salus Care does not permit video or audio taping of the patients. The internships will occur during normal business hours, Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Part-time positions available for BSW & MSW students.
