Shell Point Retirement Community is a life plan community that provides independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and a variety of amenities and support services for people 60 and older. Our approach to healthcare is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of senior adults, with onsite access to a comprehensive array of wellness and medical services, including behavioral health services, on-site primary care, physical therapy, rehabilitation, home care, and full-service pharmacy. Social services, including BSW, MSW, and LCSW social workers, play a crucial role in supporting Shell Point residents as they navigate their positive aging journey. They provide personalized guidance and support to every resident. Social workers conduct biopsychosocial assessments, create care plans, and write progress notes. They also may provide support counseling and conduct other assessments.
Special Placement Information:
The Agency accepts Full-time BSW, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year, and Advanced Standing, Part-time BSW, and Part-time MSW.
Students must have reliable transportation to travel within the 700-acre campus. Business office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
