Transformative Growth Counseling (TGC) is the largest LGBTQ+ owned and employed mental health (501c3) nonprofit community health agency. We began in Illinois in 2016, and have recently started expanding with affiliate offices across the United States
(including Jacksonville), in locations where LGBTQ+ and trauma services needs are high
but primarily going unmet. We specialize in providing attachment based individual, family, and couples counseling to LGBTQ+, BIPOC, traumatized, historically oppressed, and other at-risk populations. We serve clients from ages 3 and up and have staff specifically trained in working
with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and LGBTQ+ (including trans-identified/ non-binary) folks. We have a team of qualified supervisors and offer clinical student
internship placements as well as clinical supervision for licensure. All staff and students are trained in trauma therapy as a requirement of the agency.

Special Placement Information:

MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing, (Clinical) Part-time MSW.   Students who are placed with our agency will need transportation as some clinical services will be offered in-person in our office located in Orange Park, FL. We have always had and will maintain the use of telehealth
for clients who are unable to make it to our office, or for any other reason are more comfortable with telehealth services. Travel is not reimbursed by the agency, no stipends are available for students and liability insurance is required to be carried by the student.
Audio and video recording is permitted, with client's written consent and weekend and evening
hours are available for working students. The closest bus stop is a 2 minute walk.
