UF Health Springhill 2' s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Clinic is devoted to the study and treatment of mental disorders. Psychiatry and Psychology professionals work together to provide comprehensive care including psychiatric assessments, psychological tests and physical examinations, psychoactive medication, psychotherapy, individual, group, and family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and/or parent-child interaction therapy. UF Health Springhill 2 Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology serves children, typically up to age 18 where they transfer to the Adult Clinic at Springhill 1. The role of social work within this specialty clinic is to facilitate the transition of a patient and family from one environment to another by providing them with a comprehensive continuous plan of care. Social work provides necessary resources, support, and assistance in the transition of care for patients and families, as well as engage and collaborate with providers in the clinic and community to meet the needs for the patients and families.

Agency is accepting MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing. Student will need personal transportation; travel is not reimbursed by agency. Stipend is not available. Students do not need liability insurance. Video tape I audio taping is not permitted. Agency hours are Monday- Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Weekend and evening hours are not available. The agency is accessible by bus as RTS buses have stops near location of agency.
