United Against Poverty is a registered 501©3 non-profit whose mission is to inspire and empower people living in poverty to lift themsulves and their families to economic sefl- sufficiency. This is done through our four primary progams: Crisis Care, Case Management, Employment Education, and Access to Basic Needs (Member Share Grocery Program).Program participants come from Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake Counties and on average, we serve 450 families each day.
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st Year and MSW 2nd Year/Advanced Standing (Clinical and Social Leadership). Full time and part time positions available. A $300 Stipend is given to students who complete their semester hours with the UP Center. The Social Work program hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am - Noon and 1:00pm-4:00pm. Some special events take place evening and weekends. There are four bus stations within walking distance of campus.
