With a focus on the whole family, Wellroot's evidence-based programs were designed to keep families together whenever possible, provide short-term foster families when needed, and nurture and educate teens and young adults to break the cycle of trauma.  Program areas include Independent and Transitional Living Programs for youth out of the system.  Primary functions are family preservation services and foster care.  Foster Care provides services for children ages 0-21.  ILP-TLP is for ages 17 1/2-21.  All other programs serves young adults, adults and their children, families, etc. Many different social work experiences available.  Case management, therapeutic services, foster home recruitment and approval, training, community engagement and events.

Depending on the program the student will require adequate transportation.  Liability insurance required.  Video and audio taping permitted based on program.  Weekend and evening hours are available.  Normal business hours are 8:30a-5pm.  The agency is accessible by bus.  Background checks are required, including finger printing, drug screening, and TB skin test.
