Uplift Family Services is one of the largest, most comprehensive behavioral health treatment providers in California. 
Each year, we do whatever it takes to help more than 35,000 children and family members manage and recover from challenges stemming from prior trauma – such as severe neglect and abuse and learn the essential life skills they need to be successful at home, at school, and in their community.
Uplift provides mental and behavioral health services, such as care coordination services, community-based wellness, continuum of crisis care, disabilities services, educational support, foster care & adoption, housing programs, intensive behavioral health, and outpatient mental health services. 
Age ranges are variable, depending on program; however in the Placer region, clients are children, typically ranging from 3 to 18 years old. Additionally, we serve adult populations in our adult outpatient program. Within our agency, we walk side-by-side our clients, doing what is ethically sound to mobilize clients to achieve
higher well-being.

Intern job description:
Intern will be able to venture into the therapeutic process by providing outpatient services. Intern will have the opportunity to work with clients to support their therapeutic goals during individual therapy, family therapy, collateral services, case management services, plan development services, and assessment services. These services are all part of the outpatient program and will be able to support intern’s growth as a Mental Health provider and as a Social Worker. Intern will also be able to use supervision to review any questions related to their work and run through approaches and pertinent policies that are applicable to therapeutic sessions.

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
Transportation to office and community visits required. Travel reimbursement available.
COVID-19 vaccination not required. All unvaccinated staff required to test on a weekly basis.
