The Rape Recovery Team of The Women’s Center of Jacksonville supports and empowers survivors of sexual violence through the following:  24-hour hotline providing crisis counseling, referral services, and response for survivors requesting a forensic exam.  Advocates also provide advocacy and accompaniment for medical appts and criminal justice proceedings.

Special Information Placement

BSW full time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and advanced standing, (clinical) part-time BSW, Part-time MSW.  Agency open Monday-Saturday 9 am-6 pm.  Agency does not provide transportation, reimbursement or compensation for interns.  Interns can participate in or 24-hour hotline; shifts are 12 hr. each from 7 am-7pm, 7pm-7am.  Phones are provided, this can be done remotely, need to be ready to respond for call-outs.  Weekends and evening opportunities available, it is required that students spend a min of four hrs. a week in the office with our advocates.  MSW supervisor not included!   WCJ will only provide a Task Supervisor!
