The Alliance helps New Yorkers living with HIV and other chronic health conditions get the medical care, peer support, and housing assistance they need to achieve health, happiness, and stability.
Lower Eastside Harm Reduction Center of the Alliance is a culturally diverse, community-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS, HCV and other drug-related harm among injection drug users and the community.
Services and programs:
Syringe Access, Health and Wellness Services, Individual Counseling, resource and Group Counseling, HIV/HEP C Testing, Peer Education Program, volunteer Program, Drop-In-Space, Overdose Prevention, MAT and Psychiatric Services.
Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
No travel reimbursement or stipend available.
Liability insurance not required.
Video-/audio-taping not permitted.
Agency hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-8:00PM. Saturday, 9:00AM-5:00PM.
