VYH is a large agency. However, the field concentration is at our supervised program. The program serves youth ages 16-21. The SIL Plus locations is for female youth only & focuses on teaching life skills so that the youth can successfully move out and into their own apartment unit. Groups are ran for the young women that include educational, therapeutic and wellness based interventions.
Special Information Placement
BSW full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and advanced standing, (Clinical), Part-time BSW, Part-time MSW. We have accommodated both BSW & MSW students. The students will need to get themselves to and from the internship. Transportation of clients is minimal. The agency provides reimbursement of mileage. Filming is not permitted since the youth are in foster care. Weekend and evening hours are available and the site is bus route.
