This is a private not-for-profit hospital. We serve the medical needs in the Ocala area where our primary patients are geriatric. The social worker functions within the case management department to assist patients and families in care needs. The social worker arranges post-discharge plans and services such as rehabilitation, home health, and durable medical equipment. The social worker also works in assisting the family with navigatory the health care experience.
