Information

Centerstone is a nonprofit health system specializing in mental health and substance use disorder treatments for people of all ages.  Services are available through the operation of outpatient clinics, residential programs, school-based services, telehealth, and an inpatient hospital.  Centerstone also offers specialized programs available nationwide for the military community, as well as services for children, including therapeutic foster care.

Special placement information:

The Agency accepts BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, Part-time BSW, and Part-time MSW.  For all outpatient programs, students must have a clean driving record and a valid FL driver's license.  We provide company cars students can use if needed, although some driving may be required to perform house visits or attend court if applicable to the program.  All travel within working hours will be reimbursed at the rate of $0.50 cents per mile.  Per Centerstone's policy, Centerstone permits video and audio recordings of client interactions for the purpose of academic and clinical training only.  Client authorization is required for any recording activities.  The inpatient hospital is a 24/7 hour facility, normal working hours are 9am-6 pm for all programs but can vary.  Weekend and evening hours are feasible in an inpatient setting.  Some supervisors allow indirect hours (documentation) to be completed during the evening/weekend.  All of our locations are accessible by bus.  All student interns are covered by Centerstone's liability insurance.
