UM-NSU CARD is one of 7 centers in a statewide technical assistance project funded by the State of Florida Department of Education. 
The mission of CARD is to provide support and assistance with the goal of optimizing the potential of people with autism, dual sensory impairment, and related disabilities. The purpose of the CARD centers is to help individuals and their families from all ages of the lifespan understand their needs and navigate complex systems of care. CARD also serves to improve the capacity of existing systems in their effort to provide effective services for people with autism and related disabilities. 
The services include Individual Family Support Services, parent and professional education and consultative services, programmatic technical assistance and consultation, community outreach and public awareness and specific adult and transition services. Additional supports include support groups and skills based groups for autistic adults, teens and parents.

Accepting part-time MSW students.
Transportation required. Travel reimbursement available. Agency accessible by public transit.
Agency hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM. Evening hours available.
Liability insurance required.
