Advocates for Children and Families (ACF) is a child placing agency, licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families. ACF provides services through three main program areas. These include ACF Adoptions, ACF Counseling, and ACF Community. The population served includes anyone impacted by adoption. Clients range in age from newborn to approximately 60 years old. The client population includes a wide range of socioeconomic factors, ranging from individuals who are homeless to individuals who financially secure. Services are provided to expectant mothers considering placing their child for adoption, parents who have placed a child for adoption in the past, and individuals who are interested in adopting a child. All services are
provided from a child-focused perspective.
Social Workers roles include individual clinical counseling, assessing suitability of agency services for individual clients, casework, case management, establishing and maintaining internal policies and procedures in compliance with licensing entities and NASW code of ethics.
Adoption and Other Child Placement Service.
Special Placement Information:
MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing students, Clinical, and MSW part-time. Student will need to complete criminal background screening. Student will need transportation and liability insurance. Video and audio taping of clients is not permitted. The agency hours are flexible some eveining and weekend hours may be available.
