Waypoint Recovery Center is a 67-bed substance use disorder treatment facility serving adult males and female patients 18 years and older. Waypoint provides medical detox, residential, partial hospitalization services in a 24-hr. inpatient setting. Services include a Medical Director and NPs on site; 24n nursing and direct care staff; a full clinical team of therapists trained in substance abuse treatment under the supervision of the Clinical Director.
staff: a full clinical team of therapists trained in substance abuse treatment under the supervision of the Clinical Director. The Clinical staff at Waypoint are responsible for an assigned caseload. The clinical staff provide individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management and participate in the facility's inter-disciplinary treatment team. They also are required to perform a battery of assessments on each of their clients including a biopsychosocial assessment, depression and anxiety assessment, trauma assessment and suicide assessments. Waypoint utilizes Trac9, which is an outcomes-based tool that clinicians can use with their clients to review their current level of functioning1 including measures of cravings, triggers, motivation, anxiety, depression, and potential for leaving treatment early. Clinical staff are responsible for treatment plan development and re-assessment and working with the Discharge Planner to ensure clients have an after-care plan in place upon discharge.
Special Placement Information:
The Agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Clinical Students, (Clinical) Part-time BSW and Part-time MSW.Students will be responsible for their own transportation. There is no stipend. Since the student is covered under the FSU insurance, they will not be required to have their own liability insurance. This is a 24/7 inpatient facility, but the student will be working mostly during normal business hours. They may work during the weekend during the hours that another member of the clinical staff is on site on Saturday or Sunday.
There is no public transportation available to the facility due to our location.
