Seasons Hospice is a community –based organization with an ongoing mission to find creative solutions that add quality to end-of-life care. the caregivers a Seasons Hospice hold steadfast to the patient /family focus of hospice care. Bereavement counseling and support for family members and significant others throughout the patient’s illness and for a minimum of 13 months (more, if needed) following the death. Some of the issues you might assist with include: Processing emotions surrounding news of a terminal diagnosis, Support for an overwhelmed caretaker, Anticipatory grief for those experiencing the loss of a loved one, Conflict resolution amongst the patient’s support system.

Special Information:

The agency is accepting BSW, MSW 1st year, and MSW 2nd year and advanced standing students on a full and part time basis. Liability insurance for our interns is covered by Seasons Hospice Foundation. Interns receive mileage reimbursement for travel related to patient care. Social work interns do not receive a stipend. Some bereavement support groups or memorial services may take place in the evening hours.
