CASA’s primary function is to provide services, including emergency shelter and outreach, supportive programs, and resource referral for people in our community who have been victims of domestic violence. Our population includes all races, ages, genders, and socio-economic levels. Our shelter a services to both adults and children, families and singles. As social workers, our role is to provide advocacy for program participants and to provide resources that will empower them to create lives for themselves that will be free of violence. We strive to support the participants in their endeavors as well as help them to learn new skills and reclaim their strength to sustain their new lives without violence and maintain a safe home for their family.
Special Placement Information:
The agency is accepting BSW, MSW 1st, MSW 2nd year, and Advanced Standing Students on a part-time and full-time schedule. No transportation needed. Travel not reimbursed. Students will sign a release of liability upon the first service day. Video and audio taping are not permitted due to confidentiality issues. We are a 24-hour Shelter. With opportunities available on nights/weekends. Our agency is accessible by bus.
