Moore County DSS is a local government agency that provides services/assistance with food, electric bills, housing, daycare subsidies, Medicaid and protective services for adult and children ages 0 and up.
The intern will not need transportation while completing their hours at the agency; the agency has agency vehicles for staff to use when going out into the field. Thus, there will not be a need for the intern to be reimbursed for travel. The agency requires staff to have their own liability insurance; thus, this will be the same requirement for the intern. Video and audio taping is not permitted due to confidentiality. The agency hours are 8:00am-5:00pm. Evening or after hours to include weekend hours may be available for the intern to work if children’s services are experiencing a crisis. No stipend available.
