Advocate Christ Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center in Illinois and provides emergency care for over 105,000 patient visits annually. Advocate is part of a not- for-profit health system. Advocate Christ is a premier teaching institution and nationally ranked center for cardiology and heart surgery. Advocate Christ is also a major referral hospital in the Midwest for several specialities, including cancer care, heart and kidney transplantation, neurosciences, orthopedics, and women's health. The population served is the adult population of the south suburbs of Chicago. The role of social work at Advocate Christ is to conduct assessments, coordinate discharge planning, and provide resources to our patients.
The student does not need to travel. The student does not need liability insurance. Video or audio taping is not permitted. The facility is open weekends and evening. The agency is accessible by bus. No stipend available.
